The Newest Garmin Nuvi GPS vs. the Proven Garmin Nuvi

The new Garmin Nuvi 3790T vs. Garmin Nuvi 265WT

Released April 19, 2010, the Garmin Nüvi 3790T 4.3-Inch GPS Navigator is the latest version of the Garmin GPS navigation systems. The newest version is not released until August 15, 2010. It surpasses its predecessors in the versatility and efficiency of its design, its more advanced display resolution, and its' applications, which include the Eco-Route, myTrends, and trafficTrends.

However, some may only want a GPS that will simply get the job done and is less costly; in that case, the Garmin nüvi 265W/265WT Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator will meet those needs.

Garmin nüvi 3790T

The Nuvi 3790T is as wide as a #2 pencil and with a multi-touch display stretching 4.3" at the diagonal it fits perfectly in your hand.

The Garmin Nüvi 3790T comes with advanced routing capabilities, such as traffic Trends, which automatically tracks daytime trends for traffic flow. Also, Garmin offers another application that overtime saves your destinations and eventually records the routes and directs you without you having to say a word. Both of these applications combined track traffic patters and help you arrive to your destinations on time.

Also, the Garmin Nüvi 3790T navigation system has speech recognition that allows you to tell it where to go without your hands leaving the wheel. The new Nuvi 3790T is also compatible with your Blue tooth phone and allows you to make calls via voice commands.

The Garmin Nüvi 3790T GPS Navigator not only guides you to your destination, but it digitally projects the landmarks and the terrain in 3-D.

Eco-Route is also another additional component that allows the driver to choose a fuel-efficient route by tracking fuel consumption.

The Garmin Nüvi 265W/265WT 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator with Traffic has been available to the public for awhile and prides itself on the motto, "Get the big picture and big features for a small price."

The Nuvi 265WT offers preloaded maps as well as directions that denote the route turn by turn and uses street names. It is very simple to use and begins with the questions, "Where to?" and "View Map?." With a touch screen, you can easily mark your destination and voice command will lead you there.

The Garmin nüvi 265W/265WT also has 2-D or 3-D maps, although without the technical advancement of the Garmin 3790T. The Nuvi 265WT is also compatible with Bluetooth, which enables you to make hands free calls using voice command.

The only difference between the two Garmin Nuvi Navigation systems is the Nuvi 3790T has more advanced display capabilities and also has the applications, eco-route, trafficTrends, myTrends, that the Nuvi 265Wt does not.
